Dennis Noonan

Over the last two decades, Dennis has worked with thousands of athletes and performers at all levels, from major league baseball players to Radio City Rockettes.  He started his career in 1984 athletic training, and has worked at all levels of athletics: high school, college, and professional baseball. 

In 2004, Dennis developed the Orthopedic Massage Program at the Hospital for Special Surgery, in New York City, where he works alongside physical and occupational therapists and doctors in the integrated care of orthopedic injuries.  He has continued his study of massage techniques with Tom Myers at the Kinesis Myofascial Integration program, where he gained his KMI certification in Structural Integration.

In 2007, Dennis became an OSHA Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, and provides individualized evaluation in both the home and work environments.

Licensed Massage Therapist/KMI Certified Structural Integrator

 

Dennis specializes in areas from cervical spine to plantar fasciitis, as well as all sports related conditions. 

 

Structural Integration is a 12-session series of bodywork  that helps improve one’s posture and overall well-being while helping identify habitual compensation patterns.

 

His work on athletes has included:

-The New York Power (Women’s Soccer Association)

-Elite level marathon runners

-Olympic fencers

-Professional baseball & tennis players

OSHA Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, Level I

 

Improving the ergonomics in the work environment can help reduce production loss, employee turn-over, absenteeism and high medical costs associated with injuries.  Dennis can help identify risk factors for musculoskeletal disorders by using the OSHA basic screening tool.

 

An ergonomics assessment will include identifying risk factors, long-term and short-term solutions and product information.
